Shahrukh Khan, a name that is ruling the heart of millions of bollywood fan all across the world. Due to his unparallel performance and highly acclaimed image he is known as,” King Khan”, The ‘Badshah’ of bollywood industry. Starting his career with the film, Deewana (1992), shahrukh gave numerous successful hits throughout his career. His outstanding acting performance earned him with record breaking seven Filmfare Best Actor Award. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota hai (1998), Chak De India (2007) and Om Shanti Om (2007) are some of his Super Hit Box Office movies that have been critically acclaimed all across the Nation. Movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Veer Zaara(2004) are the movies which have been proved to be a great hits in overseas market. Shahrukh was born in the year 1965 in a Muslim family to father Taj Mohammad khan and Mother Lateef Fatima. Taj Mohammad khan was a freedom activists who first came to India before the partition from Peshawar. Shahrukh attended his primary education from St. Columbia’s School from where he got his interest in sports, drama and other academic activities. He then achieved higher studies from Hansraj College and earned Honors degree in Economics. Khan accomplished his Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Jamili Millia Islamia. Soon after the death of his parents, Shahrukh moved to Mumbai in the year 1991 where he married a Hindu girl Gauri. They both are still married and have two children named as Aryan and Suhana.

Khan entered in to acting with a television series, Fauji. He was to perform in a character of commando Abhimanyu Rai. He soon became a common face and then came in another television show, Circus. After Khan moved to Mumbai he got his breakthrough with the movie Deewana (1992). Acting with Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharati, his film was a box office hit which ignited his career in Bollywood Industry. He was awarded Filmfare Best Female Debut for this movie. His second movie Maya Memsab was a bit controversial which even added to his popularity. In 1993 Khan achieved his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for film Baazigar. The same year film, Darr was also a great hit. In 1994, Khan tried his skill in a bit a negative role in the movie, Anjaam. The film did not achieve huge success but fetched Khan with Filmfare Best Villain Award.

With the release of Aditya Khan’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Khan occupied the heart of millions of girls and boys all across the Nation. His marvelous role as a lover boy created a boom in movie lovers. He was awarded with Filmfare Best Actor award for this movie. 1996 was little disappointing for Khan’s career but soon in the year 1997 Yash Chopra’s Dil To Pagal Hai created that same magical effects on all his fan who always wanted to see shahrukh as a lover boy. Khan received Filmfare Best Actor Award for his role in this movie. Pardesh was also a big success on that same year. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) worked in series and again earned King Khan with fourth Filmfare Best Actor Award. Mohbbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001) were the two great hits in consecutive years. Ashoka was also critically acclaimed but was not a huge success as per Khan’s career record. Devdas (2002) was an award winning film and was biggest hit of the year. Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) was the biggest hit in India and overseas. Emotional romance in Veer Zaara (2004) occupied the hearts of all the teenagers for years. Ashutosh Gowarikar, Swadesh (2004) was highly acclaimed and Khan was even awarded Natinonal Award for this film. Paheli , the only release in 2005 was nominated for Oscars. Kabhi Alwida NA Kahna and Don in 2006 were moderately hit. Finally in 2007 Khan Gave two greatest block buster hit with Chak De India and Om Shanti Om.
