Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor, formally named as Bebo, is a super star of bollywood  industry. She has been known for his outstanding attractive image as well as stunning acting performance. She has won several awardsthroughout her career. She achieved Filmfare Special Performance Award in her film Chameli (2004) and later received two critics’ award as a best actress at filmfare for Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006). Kapoor earned her Best Filmfare actress award for her romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007). She is an award winning actress and a popular face of the industry.

Kareena was born on September 21 1980 from father Randheer kapoor and mother Babita. Randheer and Babita, both was renowned actor and actresses of their time, hence kareena had her ancestral acting talent within. Father Randheer always wanted her daughter to be aloof from film industry but mother Babita always interrupted, hence both got divorced and Babita took her daughter and went away from family. Kareena acquired her primary education from welham Girls boarding school Dehradun and then higher education from Mithibai College.

Kareena was initially signed to make her debut with the movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai with Hrithik Roshan, but later refused to work saying that she couldn’t have proved her own popularity working under Roshan’s Home Production. Finally she jumped in to bollywood with J.P.Dutta’s Refugee acting opposite to Abhishek bachan. Film was moderately hit and gave her an image of cute chubby baby.  Refugee even earned her the Filmfare Best Female Debut. With this successful entry Bebo then performed in Satish kaushik’s Mujhe Kuch Kahna Hai, opposite to Tusshar Kapoor. Movie was an average hit but earned her a decent popularity. Her heart touching performance as a princess in Ashoka was highly acclaimed. Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi gham gave her a chance to be counted in most renowned celebrities like Amitabh bachan, Jaya bachan and Shahrukh khan. Film earned her with Filfare Best Supporting Actress and highest grossing movie of the year. Meanwhile Bebo’s Mujhse Dosti Karoge (2002) and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003) were a big commercial failure in India. It was now tough time of kappor as she was critized of showing that same annoying character of Sanjana in K3G and in Shubhash Ghai’s Yaadein.

Since 2004 Kareena took some judicious decision and acted in Sudhir Mishra’s Chameli (2004) which polished her acting performance once again and earned her Filmfare Special performance Award. Followed by Chameli, Bebo acted in Govind Nihalini’s Dev, which was based on Vadodara’s Best Bakery Case. Kappor played a middle class muslim family girl who was the victim of the riot. She was acclaimed critically and rewarded with Filmfare Critics Award. Her superb acting for the first time in negative role for Fida was also adorable. Priyadarshan’s romantic drama Kyon ki, 36 China Town and Chup Chup ke did moderately good in box office boosting her career to its pinnacle. Based on William Shakespeare’s Othello, Omkara earned her the first Star Screen Award under Best actor category. Her dance number in Don gave a burning sensation to all her fun, consequently enhancing her popularity even more. Recently her release with co star Shahid kapoor, Jab We Met is a huge box office hit and fetched kareena with Filmfare Best Actress Award (2007).
