Akshay Kumar, a name that has been ruling Indian Bollywood Industry since a decade. His outstanding acting performance and flexible sporty physique has made him one of the best action heroes. Recently he has won a great applause all around for his sensational debut in comedy movies too. He has acted in over 80 Hindi movies successfully. He was awarded the best Filmfare award in negative role for his movie Ajnabee. No doubt he is an award winning actor dominating millions of heart in India as well as abroad.

Born in a middle class Punjabi family he was always considered a performer, especially in dancing. His father was a government employee and mom a house wife. He was born and brought up in Delhi’s Chandani chowk and completed his primary education in Don Bosco and then graduation from Khalsa College in Punjab province. Since childhood Akshay was a very sporty kind of boy, his interest in sports finally took him to Bangkok, where he studied martial arts and even worked as a chef in a restaurant. He then returned to Mumbai and started teaching martial arts. Once his student asked him to try for modeling and made him some arrangement. In his 2 hour posing before camera, Akshay performed so well that soon he was offered a lead role in the movie Deedar under the production of Pramod Chakravarthy. With this breakthrough, Akshay started his successful journey in Bollywood Film Industry.

Akshay made his debut in 1991 with the movie Saugandh, which didn’t bring him much fame. He came in to the eye with his movie Khiladi , 1992. In 1994, Kumar proved his acting skill with the great hit Mohra and Mai Khiladi Tu Anari. Dance number in the film Mohra, with actress Raweena Tandan was a huge hit. Now Akshay was offered with high budget film with famous production of Yash chopra, Yeh Dillagi. With the movies like Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladion Ka Khiladi, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, Akshay shown his martial art skill which brought him in the category of the greatest action hero of this Khiladi series. Now it’s the time when Kumar gave some serious role in movies like Sangharsh, 1999 and Jaanwar. Both were critically acclaimed. He was non less than the rest of the romantic actor too, he proved this in the movie Dhadkan,2000. Finally it was the phase of some great comedies. In 2006 Akshay performed in sequel Hera Pheri. Both were a huge success creating a remarkable history in comedy of Bollywood Industry. Later with Jaan-E-Mann, Bhagam Bhag and Namastey London Akshay ruled each and every heart of this industry. His recent releases like Hey Baby and Bhool Bhulaiyaa has received a super duper hit in box office. Hey Baby even acclaimed applause from movie lovers of various other countries. His latest release welcome is doing extremely in box office these days.
