The sexy and sizzling siren of Bollywood, Koena Mitra is the hottest news of B-Town ever since she first went under the knife to alter her nose, chin, cheeks…and what not! Well, even the film fraternity can’t stop themselves from debating about it.

But someone desperately wants to exploit this opportunity to stomp her down. Quite recently in an interview to a magazine, model-turned-singer-actress Sherlyn Chopra openly fired at Koena comparing her look with Michael Jackson’s distorted look (nose) in an interview to a magazine.

Furthermore in the interview, Sherlyn shares that it makes her fume when women openly lie about their makeovers and never admit the fact. Sherlyn has undergone several surgeries and says she never feared her surgeries, "At least I am glad that my doctor has done a neat nose job,” adds Sherlyn.

“When I tell people, especially my friends, that I have had a nose job done, they think I am kidding because it doesn't show. And thankfully it's not like Michael's nose," said Sherlyn, poking fun at Koena, yet again.

Sherlyn has had several surgeries done ranging from nose to butt. Yet, she openly fires at Koena over and over again. Well, Sherlyn such cheap, downmarket antics would not help you compete with your much successful counterparts such as Koena.

Koena is certainly a tough competition for Sherlyn and this is how the actress takes out her frustration. Sherlyn, your vendetta has no cure at all!

Sade huey Prem ki Mari Hui Kahani!

First of all, film-makers should give up using promising terms like 'ajab', 'ghazab' and what not in their movie titles. It's not just misleading, it is unbearable. Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani has ajab and ghazab only in the title. Everywhere else, it is absolutely 'sada hua' and 'mara hua'. The weak plot, saddening so-called comedy sequences and overall stupidity is so overpowering that one almost ignores Ranbir Kapoor's decent performance. The Kapoor boy definitely has it in him. However, the script did not have anything in it.

The film is about a laidback young man Prem (Ranbir Kapoor) who, for reasons I have no clue of, falls in love with Jenny (Katrina Kaif), who in turn is in love with Rahul (Upen Patel), who is a dedicated son of a religion-obsessed politician Pitambar Jalan (Govind Namdeo). The story drags on - Prem falls in love with Jenny, and the day he goes to proclaim his love to her, she confesses her love for the Canada-returned Rahul. Prem is heartbroken, but soon enough picks up the broken pieces and decides to help Jenny marry her love. However, Rahul's father, Pitambar Jalan, is dead against the inter-caste wedding. Using all the tricks up his sleeve, Prem manages to convince Pitambar to agree to the wedding, but on the D-day, Jenny realises that she is 'madly' in love with Prem, and runs off with him. Go figure!

So yes, the storyline is as stale as it can get. Since the movie was intended to be a rom-com, the unappealing storyline is not what worries me. Ideally, the winner should have been the comedy. Unfortunately, except for a couple of scenes, the jokes don't really have the intended effect.

Katrina is as pretty as a wax statue - flawlessly beautiful, but painfully emotionless. Upen Patel looks very silly. Maybe he should give up acting altogether and thus help save movie-buffs from killing themselves. And Salman's special performance has to be mentioned, simply because of the hideous jeans and T-shirts he wears. What was he thinking? Arrgh!

Darshan Zariwala, as Prem's father, does justice to his role and I feel that he is the only genuinely funny person in the film. The locations seem out of place for some reason. They are too clean and nice to be Ooty, and if the movie was shot in Turkey, I'd say it was an unnecessary waste of money! The location is definitely beautiful, but it doesn't look or feel Indian.

On the whole, one gets to see a lot of flaws. Amidst all the chaos, there are two things about the movie which allow you to breathe a sigh of relief - Ranbir Kapoor and Pritam's music. Ranbir's performance is worth the watch. However, he really needs to pay attention to the kind of films he chooses to be in. The song 'Kaise Baataon' makes for pleasant listening, and 'Tera Hone Laga Hoon' brings a smile to one's face.

A romantic comedy from Raj Kumar Santoshi years after the classic Andaz Apna Apna invariably implies sky-high expectations. But the movie is a disappointment. I did read articles mentioning that the movie did well at the Box Office. However, in all honesty, I don't see why this film should become a hit. My verdict is - do not go through the torture of watching this film even if you are offered free tickets. Why beg for a headache?

In TUM MILE, a couple faces two storms. The storm within, when they come face to face after their breakup. The storm outside, when a natural calamity strikes Mumbai on 26th July, 2005 [unprecedented rainfall devastated Mumbai on this date]. After JANNAT, director Kunal Deshmukh [KD] chooses a love story yet again. It's about an estranged couple, but the wallpaper in TUM MILE is the Mumbai floods. Naturally then, the expectations from TUM MILE are colossal, given the fact that TUM MILE is the first film that attempts to chronicle the natural calamity on celluloid, with seriousness. Had KD limited himself to narrating the ups and downs in a live-in relationship, TUM MILE may've struck a chord. But if you're attempting a disaster movie [its promotions send out strong signals], you'd be eager to know how KD recreates the horrors of 26th July on celluloid. Let's not forget, the catastrophe is still etched in our memory and has tremendous recall-value. While KD succeeds in depicting the tiffs between the lovers, it's the disaster aspect that doesn't make much of an impact. That's because you strongly feel that the infamous Mumbai floods should've been given more prominence, instead of using it as a tool to take the story forward. 26th July, 2005 rang an ominous bell for most, but amidst all the chaos and the tragedy, it re-united two star-crossed ex-lovers. Two people [Emraan Hashmi, Soha Ali Khan] meet after a hiatus of six years. What starts off as a seemingly innocuous encounter on the same flight back to Mumbai, ends up as a rollercoaster ride through some of the darkest hours of Mumbai, as they see the city get swamped with disaster and loss... and are forced to stick together in this time of crisis. 26th July, 2005 remains etched in your memory and I'm sure, every Mumbaikar would've a story to tell vis-Ã -vis what transpired with them or their beloved/relatives/friends/acquaintances on that fateful day. TUM MILE also highlights the dilemma of a couple, who once shared a beautiful relationship, but have moved on in life after they split, till they meet again on 26th July. Opposites attract and so do Emraan and Soha in TUM MILE. Although their story goes back and forth several times, the narrative doesn't confuse the viewer one bit. So far, so good. But the problem lies in integrating the natural calamity with the love story. Even if you're a non-Mumbaikar, you'd vividly recall the images that were flashed on news channels continuously or perhaps, you may've watched the footage on internet. But in TUM MILE, the nature's fury doesn't come across strongly or effectively. In a few scenes, yes, you do draw parallels with real life, but the impact it ought to make is just not there. Something is amiss! KD has handled the love story very well. The tiffs between Emraan and Soha are so identifiable. The 'Dil Ibaadat' song in particular completely moves you. But how one wishes the film would've focussed more on the characters' attempts to escape or cope with the disaster or its aftermath. Pritam's music is melodious to the core. The cinematography does justice to the beauty of South Africa [romantic portions] and also during the flood sequences. But the usage of stock footage, at places, doesn't work. The computer graphics could've been better and more effective. Emraan takes giant strides as an actor. He continues to surprise in film after film. Grossly under-rated despite having delivered competent performances in the past, here's hoping that people wake up to this talented actor after TUM MILE. Like Emraan, Soha too has evolved into a truly fine actor and TUM MILE proves it. The best part is, Soha is extremely natural and that's what makes her sequences so believable. Sachin Khedekar is there for just one sequence. Mantra, as Emraan's friend, is confident. On the whole, TUM MILE caters to the youth mainly. At the box-office, the Vishesh Films - Emraan Hashmi combo has cultivated a strong fan-base over the years and coupled with good music, which is also very popular, the film should find itself in the comfortable zone. However, the super-strong opposition in 2012 [also highlighting a disaster on celluloid and which has had a wide release in India] might eat into its business at places.

Aao Wish Karein

Every kid imagines what it would be like to be an adult. He wishes he could grow up quicker. Of course, once he grows up, a small part of him wishes he could go back to his childhood days. Quite an irony, isn't it? There's a line in AAO WISH KAREIN that goes, 'If you want to be a part of a fairy tale, it's important that you believe in it [fairy tale].' The statement is applicable for everyone desirous of watching AAO WISH KAREIN. In terms of concept, AAO WISH KAREIN bears a striking resemblance to the Tom Hanks starrer BIG [1988]. A decade-and-a-half ago, the Salman Khan - Sridevi starrer CHANDRAMUKHI also tackled a similar theme. In that respect, the concept isn't alien at all. It's not sacrilegious if a film bears an uncanny resemblance to another film [it could be a coincidence], but films like these need to be well-structured and most importantly, supported by incredible actors who can make you believe in fairy tales. Also, the makers ought to take a stand at the very outset: Should it be targeted at kids or youth? You just cannot sit on the fence. In this case, you don't know if AAO WISH KAREIN is aimed at the kids or is it a breezy romantic flick, targeted at the youth. All said, AAO WISH KAREIN has some endearing moments, but not enough to salvage it. 12-year-old Mickey's life was almost like a fairy tale: A beautiful family, best buddy Bonnie and his angel on earth - Mitika [Aamna Sharif]. One fateful day, Mickey's fairy tale is shattered into a million pieces. He realizes he's an adopted child and his 23-year-old angel Mitika too calls him a kid. A heart-broken Mickey sits all by himself until Hitchcock [Johny Lever] appears. Mickey hopes for a miracle to happen. He wishes to become big. To his astonishment, he wakes up next morning and realizes that his wish has been granted. He has indeed turned big. But was this miracle a blessing or a curse in disguise? The choice of the subject is perfect. But there's an inherent flaw in the story and that is, the 12-year-old kid seems to be in love with the pretty woman, but the moment his wish his granted and he transforms into a grown up man overnight, he continues to behave like a kid. Romance, therefore, just doesn't exist and even if it does, it's far from exciting. Ideally, the writing would've worked had the kid-turned-grown up behaved like a grown up. The culmination to the story is well penned, but, again, it might not work in entirety. The writers could've run their imagination wild, given the fact that they were writing a fairy tale, instead of taking the safe route here. Director Glen Barretto has handled a few individualistic scenes well, especially the ones between Aftab and Johny Lever. Music is soothing to the ears, but the non-promotion or lack of popularity will make the effort go unnoticed. At the same time, there are too many songs in the second hour, which weren't required frankly. Keshav Prakash's cinematography is top notch. The locales of Himachal Pradesh and Goa are well captured on celluloid by the DoP. Aftab pitches in a sincere performance. He looks the character. Aamna is easy on the eyes, although the role doesn't demand histrionics. Johny Lever is first-rate. Rati Agnihotri is good. Yatin Karyekar is alright. The kids are full of energy. Will Shamita leave the house this week?

If rumours are to be believed then this week Shamita Shetty, one of the most balanced contestants of Bigg Boss 3 may walk out of the show. There was buzz last week that Shamita will come out.

However it did not happen. We have also been hearing that, Shamita will walk out of the show on Thursday, last week when she was informed by Pravesh that, her sister is getting married this month end. Shamita told to Aditi that if this is true then she will not be able to stay inside the house.

Few days back she was informed via letter that her sister will get married on November 22. Even though Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar have been nominated by all housemates this week, Shamita will be given an option to walk out of the show. If Shamita decide to come out then there will be no elimination. Therefore there are chances that the nominated couple may stay back in the house.

Shamita was in tears when she heard about her sister’s marriage but sofar she has not spoken about leaving the show and looked quite calm even after receiving a letter from Shilpa. Meanwhile both Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar are tensed about their elimination. But what will be the ultimate decision of BB, to find that who will be one has to wait and watch.

Serial killer stalks dazzling beauty Minissha Lamba

Bollywood beauties are having sleepless night! Just a day after Katrina Kaif stalker dilemma was reported, it’s actress Minissha Lamba who is being relentlessly stalked by a man who is been making obscene calls besides sending her lewd messages. Behind bars now, the notorious man turned out to be the serial stalker who in the past harassed a lot of actresses and celebs wives.
Confirming the news a source said, “The actress started receiving abusive messages and calls early this month. She blocked his number, but the man continued to call her from different numbers. The actress lodged a police complaint at the Versova Police Station after two continuous days of harassment.”

Buzz has that even though the lissome beauty tried to avoid his calls by blocking his numbers, he continued to chase her by calling from different numbers. “The SMSes sent were extremely obscene. The stalker has no control over his language and gets extremely abusive. He would send her abusive SMSes, asking her to pick up his call”, adds the source.

DCP KMM Prasanna at Versova police station confirmed the news. He told a mews daily, “Minissha has filed a non-cognizable complaint (NC) with us on November 5. We asked her if she wanted to register a police complaint. She refused and just wants us to call and threaten the stalker. We will provide all the help she requires.”

EXPECTATIONS The moment name Aamir Khan is seen in the credits, the word 'quality' comes naturally. Such has been the brand value Aamir has made around him that everything else, whether it is the director, composer or the co-star, comes secondary. Of course with names like Rajkumar Hirani, Kareena Kapoor and Vidhu Vinod Chopra involved, one can't discount the overall package affair that 3 Idiots turns out to be. Still, when it comes to the music of the film, one can't really claim to have huge expectations. Reason being that the composer at the helm of affairs is Shantanu Moitra who hasn't had a single commercially successful album other than Parineeta. Yes, he has been critically acclaimed but due to the kind of music he has created and the genre he has explored, mass acceptance has still eluded him. Even a Lage Raho Munnabhai showed some good sales once the movie turned out to be hugely successful at the box office. This is the reason why one plays 3 Idiots (that has lyrics by Swanand Kirkire) with reasonable, rather than extraordinary, expectations in place - Aamir Khan notwithstanding. MUSIC It's a gradual beginning to 'Aal Izz Well' that gives a clear indication of what the film is all about. Arriving with the theme of 'care-a-damn' attitude, 'Aal Izz Well' is completely different from dozens of campus tracks that have been heard over the years. Swanand Kirkire's lyrics make an instant impression while Shantanu's rhythmic treatment ensures that the song would be played in many a campus festivals and student get togethers from here on. Catching the pulse of youth, whether from today, yesterday or tomorrow, this Sonu Nigam and Shaan sung track, which also appears in a deserving 'remix version', belongs to chartbuster variety. One wonders though that why did Shanatanu have to croon like Anu Malik for an interspersing piece? Only song in the album featuring a female voice comes in the form of 'Zoobi Doobi'. The chosen one here is the obvious name without whom not a single A-list album gets completed today - Shreya Ghoshal. A song-n-dance affair that almost spoofs the conventional rain tracks that have been heard and seen in Bollywood over the decades, 'Zoobi Doobi' combines melody with rhythm with Sonu Nigam joining the show. Belonging to the 50s and 60s variety in the way it has been composed, 'Zoobi Doobi' (which too has a 'remix version' for itself) is good though its longevity would depend upon the way it has been choreographed and the extent to which the film succeeds. From this point on, the album takes a situational turn, as visible in 'Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh' which comes next. Starting on a pensive note, the number is about a couple of friends (Madhavan and Sharman Joshi) who are searching for their lost partner (Aamir Khan). The number has a distinct Bengali music touch to it, whether in terms of the way it has been orchestrated, arranged and even sung. With minimal instruments in the background, this number sung by Shaan and Shantanu Moitra describes the character played by Aamir and how he carried a carefree and lively persona. With a hint of sadness to it, 'Behti Hawa' is primarily for the screen. Just like it's predecessor, 'Give Me Some Sunshine' too has a slow beginning with Sharman Joshi narrating a line about youth being allowed to live life the way they want. Soon after Suraj Jagan starts singing this track about how kids are deprived of their innocence in the world of education that dictates what they should be doing rather than them making a choice. Meanwhile, Sharman keeps interspersing the song with anecdotes from the childhood (experimenting with chemistry, forced to get 99% marks etc...). Yet another campus track, though softer in mode and tone this time around, the song has its high point every time the line 'Give Me Some Sunshine' comes on the forefront. The finale is interesting with Sonu Nigam coming up with one of his best renditions in recent times. He changes the pitch of his voice extraordinarily well in 'Jaane Nahin Denge Tujhe' which again appears to be the set in a mood where the friends are rooting for each other and making sure that they don't fail in their pursuit for a better life ahead. After singing two popular tracks 'Shukran Allah' [Kurbaan] and 'Don't Say Alvida' [Main Aurr Mrs Khanna], this is yet another quality outing for Sonu Nigam who hits just the right notes. Special mention to Swanand for his words that should make a definite impact in the film's narrative. OVERALL 3 Idiots is a good quality album that has two super strong tracks - 'Aal Izz Well' and 'Jaane Nahin Denge Tujhe'. Both are poles apart though because while former is for mass audiences, latter should find a perfect placement in the film's narrative. 'Zoobi Doobi' is nice while 'Behti Hawa' and 'Give Me Some Sunshine' would be known more after the film's release. Immense curiosity value around '3 Idiots' would ensure that in the initial days, the album disappears quite quickly from the music stands. After that, it would be the strength of the film and its run at the box office that would do the talking for the album as well. The interviews with the media were scheduled at Park Hyatt from 2.30pm yesterday, but Saif Ali Khan and girl friend and co-star Kareena Kapoor walked in exactly one and a half hour late. Saif apologized for the delay and Kareena kept beaming her dazzling smile. And then Saif looked at the much-talked about Kurbaan poster and said, “Wow! Who’s that hot guy? Oh! That’s me.”

This bold poster is already the talk of the town. What’s Saif’s take on it? He says, “I have got so much feedback for this poster that I already feel the film is a hit.” When we asked Kareena, who was just sitting a few feet away from Saif and giving interviews, the same question, the lady admiringly looked at the giant poster standing behind her and said, “There is no doubt it is bold but then it also translates the emotional and raw intensity of the film. I think this is the only way it could have been shown.”

The look might be different but isn’t the storyline of Kurbaan strangely similar to New York? Saif said, “I had gone through the script of New York since I was offered a role in the film. I have not seen the film except for the songs and I think it has a very young storyline with college guys partying at pubs and having fun on the campus. On the contrary Kurbaan is very mature.”

Kareena adds, “The film is gritty, gripping and cutting edge. It is a love story where the woman has a very important role and audiences will keep on thinking what will happen to her?”

Shilpa Shetty, who is marrying London-based Raj Kundra on Nov 22, is facing pre-nuptial blues. She admits she is experiencing "mixed feelings" as the D-day draws near.

"To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say I'm going through a lot of mixed feelings - happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well," Shilpa posted on her blog.

The 34-year-old actress is tying the knot with businessman Raj Kundra, whom she has been dating since 2007.

"Honestly it still hasn't sunk in completely, it's a strange emotion, can't describe it. The only consolation is that I'm tying the knot with Raj - a man who lets me be myself and doesn't want me or my life to change and that erases premarital jitters," she said.

"Obviously marriage is a huge step and with it come responsibilities, and since I believe in the institution, so I hope and pray that I can make ours a success."

Shilpa says she has been busy with the wedding preparations for the past two weeks but is also trying hard to fulfill her professional commitments so that she can set out for a one-month honeymoon with Raj after the wedding.

She is currently shooting in Hyderabad for the last schedule of Indo-Chinese project "Desire".

"I'm shooting in Hyderabad, everything had to be done before I'd left for this schedule. In the midst of Odissi rehearsals (can you believe it! ‘cause I am shooting for a song here), (I'm handling) guests list, hotel arrangements, wedding planners, trousseau outfits, the list is never ending.

"There's a lot of work to be done and I will be shooting and dubbing till a week before the wedding. Got to finish all work commitments before I leave for a month after the wedding," she said.

The actress is now only hoping that her younger sister Shamita Shetty, who is a participant on reality show "Bigg Boss 3", comes out to be with her in the "last few days at home".

Shilpa will have a quiet wedding ceremony with close friends and family Nov 22 and has plans for a lavish reception two days later.

De Dana Dan

EXPECTATIONS De Dana Dan is an out and out comic entertainer due to which one doesn't quite expect a musical here. Of course Akshay Kumar-Pritam 'jodi' in the past has given chartbuster tracks in comedies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Singh Is Kinng earlier. Still, these films had a romantic angle to them which resulted in memorable music not just by means of item numbers but also a few soulful songs. However, when it comes to De Dana Dan, all one expects are some more Hera Pheri moments, courtesy the coming together of Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Priyadarshan. MUSIC There is a very pleasant surprise in store though at the very beginning of the album with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan coming up with an extremely likeable 'Rishte Naate'. A beautiful love song which is set in a mould similar to that of 'Teri Ore' [Singh Is Kinng], 'Rishte Naate' is also elevated further due to some very good writing by Sayeed Quadri. The combination works perfectly well with English rendition by Suzanne Demello being an icing on the cake. The song's remix makes for a good club outing as well with Kunal Ganjawala replacing Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for this version and still giving a good account of himself. It is surprising that such a beautiful sounding track is being released so late in the day when the film is a mere 20 days away from release. Mood of the album changes soon after with some groovy beats making 'Paisa' a number to jive along. This is the kind of track that doesn't necessarily make a huge impression in the very first outing but grows on you tremendously after it has been played for a few times. The way RDB writes, composes and sings this track with Manak-E and Selina has a 'desi' feel to it as well that makes it stand out in the crowd. This is the kind of track which has Punjabi folk fusion written all over it and can be heard in the North India belt. A theme song about money being the driving force behind all the acts, 'Paisa Paisa', which also has a supporting 'Club Mix' version, can be a hugely popular track provided it is bombarded on music channels 24X7. From a romantic number and a situational outing, De Dana Dan turns on the heat with a seductive 'Gale Lag Ja'. A sensual rain track featuring Katrina Kaif along with Akshay, it has newcomer Banjyotsna coming up with the kind of rendition that reminds of Alisha Chenoy. Written by Ashish Pandit, this slow moving number with Javed Ali behind the mike is easy on ears even though it doesn't carry that chartbuster appeal to it. Hear this one (which also has a second version with Domonique Cerejo also joining the show) for some soothing times and move on to the next one in the offering. For fourth song in a row, there is a different lyricist roped in. This time around it is Irshaad Kamil who writes a celebration track 'Baamulaiza'. Even though Mika Singh is at the helm of affairs, one really misses Neeraj Sreedhar here who would have made a difference to the final outcome. A rhythmic track that has Style Bhai coming up with his rap-n-reggae, 'Baamulaiza' (which too has a 'remix version' in the offering) makes for a fine hearing though not necessarily belonging to the hit variety. It's nice to see though that Dominique Cerejo, an erstwhile background vocalist, gets yet another number as a playback singer to her credit. The trend of a separate lyricist for each of the songs continues with Neeraj Sreedhar writing 'Hotty Naughty' which reminds one of lesser heard 'Aage Aage Dekhe Ja' [Life Partner] in its beginning portions. An obvious item number that has been crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan and is picturised on Neha Dhupia, 'Hotty Naughty' is more fun than sensual which ensures that the proceedings do not become risqué. A passable peppy track that should look good on screen with some eye catchy picturisation, it falls under the bracket of being time pass and that's about it. Kalpana Patwari sings the 'remix version' but frankly, one would prefer Sunidhi's rendition here. Finally comes the title track 'De Dana Dan', a Sameer written number which is sung and composed by Ad Boys. Just like 'Paisa', this one too has a chartbuster appeal to it and sees a good blend of Punjabi music with contemporary Bollywood music. Boasting of the kind of beats and energy that seldom fails; De Dana Dan is quite spirited and should make for a riotous outing on screen. The track brings a good end to the album which mostly boasts of an inherent fun element. OVERALL In the recent times, there have been quite some quality musical scores like Kurbaan, Tum Mile, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Radio that have managed to make an impact. Most of these have a classy feel to it. In comparison, De Dana Dan has a massy feel to it with numbers like 'Paisa' and title song making a good impression. 'Baamulaiza' and 'Hotty Naughty' don't have a much future though beyond the film's run in theatres. However, if there is a track that would be remembered at least for a few more months to come, it would be 'Rishte Naate'. OUR PICK(S) 'Rishte Naate', 'Paisa', 'De Dana Dan'

Shilpa met millionaire Kundra, 34, shortly after she found fame in Britain by winning the international reality series "Celebrity Big Brother" two years ago. Now she is marrying him Nov 22 at a private ceremony to be attended by close friends and family.

Shamita Shetty is doing well in Bigg Boss 3 and if her sister Shilpa Shetty will decide to tie knots at the end of this month then she may have to give it a miss.

If rumours are to be believed then Shilpa Shetty and her beau Raj Kundra will tie the knot at the end of this month, but by that time there are very less chances that Shamita Shetty may attend her sister wedding.

Shamita Shetty is one of the strong contestants in Bigg Boss 3’s house; so far she has been real in house, though sometimes her inability to speak Hindi looks indigestible. But overall she is doing well in the show by not talking too much about everyone. She seems to be gelling well with everyone in the house and is not showing any kind of attitude. So there are possibilities that any of her housemates would vote against her, and she will be out of the house so soon.

It has just been a month that the show has started and it is expected to conclude on December 3, if Shamita Shetty will be in top three contestant then she will have to remain in the house till December 3 while Shilpa Shetty who got engaged without her sister on October 24 last month. Shamita Shetty too expressed inside the house that she often misses her parents, beloved sister and would be brother-in law-Raj, and how she likes to spend time with him. But she could not attend their engagement.

Now if Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra really decide to get married in the last week of November it is likely that Shamita may not be able to attend it. It is said that both sisters are fond of each other and are very attached too, so will Shilpa Shetty change the date of her marriage for her little sister or she will get married with her absence, for that one has to wait and watch.

Shilpa Shetty, who is marrying London-based Raj Kundra Nov 22, is facing pre-nuptial blues. She admits she is experiencing "mixed feelings" as the D-day draws near.

"To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say I'm going through a lot of mixed feelings - happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well," Shilpa posted on her blog. The 34-year-old actress is tying the knot with businessman Raj Kundra, whom she has been dating since 2007.

"Honestly it still hasn't sunk in completely, it's a strange emotion, can't describe it. The only consolation is that I'm tying the knot with Raj - a man who lets me be myself and doesn't want me or my life to change and that erases premarital jitters," she said. "Obviously marriage is a huge step and with it come responsibilities, and since I believe in the institution, so I hope and pray that I can make ours a success."

Shilpa says she has been busy with the wedding preparations for the past two weeks but is also trying hard to fulfill her professional commitments so that she can set out for a one-month honeymoon with Raj after the wedding. She is currently shooting in Hyderabad for the last schedule of Indo-Chinese project "Desire".

"I'm shooting in Hyderabad, everything had to be done before I'd left for this schedule. In the midst of Odissi rehearsals (can you believe it! Because I am shooting for a song here), (I'm handling) guests list, hotel arrangements, wedding planners, trousseau outfits, the list is never ending. "There's a lot of work to be done and I will be shooting and dubbing till a week before the wedding. Got to finish all work commitments before I leave for a month after the wedding," she said.

The actress is now only hoping that her younger sister Shamita Shetty, who is a participant on reality show "Bigg Boss 3", comes out to be with her in the "last few days at home". Shilpa will have a quiet wedding ceremony with close friends and family Nov 22 and has plans for a lavish reception two days later.

Jail

Madhur Bhandarkar is synonymous with thought-provoking, hard-hitting films. Right from CHANDNI BAR to FASHION, the expert storyteller has made movies that hold tremendous shock-value. In turn, Madhur has cultivated a rich fan-base for his films. With JAIL, Madhur not only makes you visit a prison, but also makes you peep into the psyche of a prisoner. In the recent past, Sriram Raghavan's EK HASINA THI [2004; Saif Ali Khan, Urmila Matondkar] and Nazim Rizvi's UNDERTRIAL [2007; Rajpal Yadav] narrated the travails and anguish of innocents who were falsely implicated in a case. Besides, Nagesh Kukunoor's TEEN DEEWAREIN [2003; Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Nagesh Kukunoor] too narrated the story of three convicts. But JAIL is different from the above-named films. Besides watching a thought-provoking story on celluloid, one has also come to expect incredible performances in a Madhur Bhandarkar movie. And JAIL too is embellished with superb performances from its key actors. JAIL transports you to a hitherto unknown world that most of us haven't seen and if this is its USP, it's also something that might go against it. Irrespective of how strong its merits are, a section of moviegoers [read families/kids], who generally tilt towards feel-good/sunshine/entertainment-filled cinema, might skip this film due to its dry [and at times depressing] theme. In a nutshell, JAIL mirrors a reality in true Madhur Bhandarkar style. It's hard-hitting, it's compelling, it's thought-provoking. The efficient storyteller has the courage to speak a new language in every film and for that very reason, JAIL should be on your agenda. Parag Dixit [Neil Nitin Mukesh] is living a dream life -- a great job and a loving girlfriend [Mugdha Godse]. However, things take an ugly turn when, after a series of unfortunate events, he suddenly wakes up in jail. Parag is perplexed. The only salvation he finds is in Nawab [Manoj Bajpayee], a convict, who believes that Parag is innocent. Soon, Parag is left with a choice, to either live a life with hordes of broken hearts and shattered souls amidst the prison walls or hope to see freedom some day. JAIL involves you from the very start. The inmates, their crimes, their individual stories... you get drawn into a world that's very real. So real that you feel it's happening right in front of your eyes. Madhur has a knack of narrating stories and he narrates the story of Parag Dixit with razor-edge sharpness. Besides, JAIL also enlightens you of the legal process, which also acts as an eye-opener. At the same time, the legal procedures and also the behavioural pattern of the inmates tend to get repetitive after a point and that's when you start feeling restless. Nonetheless, the post-interval has some interesting twists-n-turns, like the convicts' escape from the police van; prior to that Neil and Manoj exchanging stares before Neil perches himself in the van; Neil getting thrown in a dark cell, spending the next few days in solitary confinement; a convict using the garbage van as the means to escape; another convict realising that his wife is now a cop's mistress. Also, the climax is touching and moves you. Madhur hits the right note yet again. Madhur, Manoj Tyagi and Anuradha Tiwari's script involves you in most parts. Raghuvir Shekhawat's dialogues are true to life. There's no scope for music in a film like JAIL, but the three songs are smartly integrated in the storyline. Kalpesh Bhandarkar's cinematography is top notch. Special mention must be made of Nitin Chandrakant Desai's prison set, where the film is entirely shot. Not only does Neil Nitin Mukesh deliver his finest performance to date, but the performance would easily rank amongst the finest this year. He conveys the pathos and helplessness that this character demands with amazing understanding. He deserves all praise for his extra-ordinary portrayal. Manoj Bajpayee pitches in a memorable performance. In fact, the supremely talented actor is in form after a long, long time. He's subdued all through, which only goes to prove that he knows the craft so well. Mugdha Godse underplays her part beautifully. Also, she carries the non-glam look well. Aarya Babbar is fantastic. This film should make people sit and notice this young actor. Chetan Pandit is first-rate. Rahul Singh is excellent, especially in the sequence when he confronts his wife. The actor who plays the part of Joe D'Souza is effective. On the whole, JAIL is a well-made film from an expert storyteller. At the box-office, the film will appeal to those with an appetite for hard-hitting, realistic fares, but its clash with AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI will affect its business to an extent.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

Rajkumar Santoshi has changed lanes. Known for intense, hard-hitting movies [with the sole exception of ANDAZ APNA APNA], Santoshi now attempts a rom-com in AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI, his new endeavour. That's something we all know by now, right? But not many of us know that Santoshi is equally at home handling a comedy. And AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI proves it. If you're attempting a rom-com, you need to get a few things right... One, the romance should be livewire. Ditto for the chemistry between the on-screen pair. Two, the film should make you laugh. As simple as that! In AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI, the romantic moments are endearing. Most importantly, the on-screen chemistry is electrifying. Ranbir and Katrina look great together! I've often said that comedy is serious business and the audience has moved over from banana peel humour in movies. The comedy in AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI - though it borders on absurdity - is funny in most parts. Sure, there're times when you feel that the humour looks forced [climax fight especially], but you don't grudge it since Santoshi's intentions are crystal clear from Scene 1 onwards: Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega. Another factor that goes in its favour is Pritam's music, who belts out a couple of lilting tracks. On the flip side, the film could've done with a fresh plotline. When you talk of 'Ghazab Kahani', it has to be ghazab by all means. It shouldn't fall prey to predictability, but the second hour succumbs to mediocrity occasionally. Yet, despite the blemishes, AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI is a full-on entertainer. One thing is for sure, you'd fall in prem with Prem and his antics. An ideal date movie that should connect with the youth. Prem's [Ranbir Kapoor] fundas in life were very simple - be happy, make others happy. A case of mistaken identity leads Prem to almost kidnap Jenny [Katrina Kaif], who was brought up by indifferent and uncaring foster parents. Prem falls in love with Jenny, but realizes gradually that Jenny is in love with someone else [Upen Patel], the son of a conniving politician [Govind Namdeo]. Prem decides to sacrifice his love and get the lovers married. In the first sequence, Santoshi makes it loud and clear that AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI is very unlike his previous ventures; this one harbours on illogical situations. Right from the time Ranbir sets his eyes on Katrina [the yellow outfit episode], the film is a roller coaster ride. A few sequences entertain you thoroughly. Sample these: Katrina slaps Ranbir when he stammers as well. She feels he's imitating her; Ranbir's sequence in the church; Salman Khan's cameo; the love-hate relationship that Ranbir and his father [Darshan Jariwala] share; the sequence at the party; the interval point when Ranbir falls on the ground literally... the first hour of the film simply rocks! But the second hour makes you a little grumpy. The third angle of the triangle [Upen Patel] isn't convincing, while his father's [Govind Namdeo] track is beaten to death. Even the villain [Zakir Hussain] is a sore point. Watching the second hour makes you feel that the film may've had a longer running time and in order to bring down the length, a number of scenes must've been chopped off, which, in turn, must've resulted in continuity lapses. For instance, Katrina's kidnap by the villains looks too sudden. When and how did it occur? Yet, there're two sequences in this hour which are remarkable and which should bring the house down. One, when Ranbir wears Katrina's top to hide her presence in the house and the climax fight, when Katrina mistakenly bangs Ranbir a couple of times. Directorially, Santoshi proves the naysayers wrong and bounces back with a film that the youth would relate to. You can't write off the maker and AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI proves it. Pritam's music has 'Hit' written all over it. S. Thiru's cinematography is first-rate. Ranbir Kapoor is the next big thing and AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI proves it yet again. He's charismatic, emotes exceptionally well and tickles your funny bone without making faces. It's a fantastic performance all the way. Katrina Kaif continues to surprise. She surprised you in NEW YORK. She surprises you again in this film. She scores in both emotional and light scenes. Also, Ranbir and Katrina make a wonderful on-screen couple. Darshan Jariwala is exceptional. Smita Jaykar is very good. Upen Patel is decent. Govind Namdeo is getting typecast. Zakir Hussain is fair. Navneet Nishan is alright. On the whole, AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI entertains majorly. At the box-office, the fantastic pre-release campaign coupled with the terrific chemistry between Ranbir and Katrina, excellent music by Pritam and tremendous appeal for youth should ensure a big start for the film at the ticket window. The business prospects seem excellent, thus ensuring handsome returns for its investors.

Saif gets a new look for Kurbaan’s promotional video

The promotional video of Kurbaan, which was shot weeks ago, shows Saif Ali Khan in a completely new avatar.

It has been made to the tune of The title track Kurbaan Hua.

It's different

Director Rensil D'silva sheds light on the concept, "I wanted to make an abstract video. Something very different than putting six girls in a line and making them dance. I mean that's also fine, but Kurbaan is a very different film. The genre is dark and intense so the Kurbaan Hua video is in keeping with that mood. Saif's look is very different from anything he's done before and the credit goes to Bosco for directing it so well."

The video is a collage of abstract images of a man in torment and pain. "There are scenes where Saif is whipping himself. We have used the elements of the earth, wind, fire and water. Then there are also references to Adam and Eve, with Saif biting into an apple only to find it's rotten."

Looking the part

Calling the whole feel gothic-meets-grunge, he adds, "Saif knew exactly what we wanted and went with it. In fact, he even grew his hair a longer for this look. You see him wear a hood and jacket in the song that actually is a reference point to a very important scene in the movie. Watching that scene triggered off this video idea for me."

Bebo absent

Kareena was to be in the song as well, but since she couldn't make it, they have used her image. "There's a image of her burning in the backdrop with Saif in the front. There is an undercurrent of passion and loss throughout the video."

How long can you milk a concept for all its worth?
Once is great. Twice is good.Thrice is audacious. 5 Times would be pretty stupid is what anyone with a reasonable amount of common sense would say.
And Jail has proved it right.

Madhur Bhandarkar hit upon this motherlode of 'reality' movies with Chandni Bar in 2001. It was first of its kind in the franchise, and there were possibilities in a subject of that nature , and true to its content even recieved a National Award for the film. With Page 3 and Corporate he thought he had the Average movie fan eating out of his hands. Fair enough. The movies were big commercial successes, which made him audacious enough to go on with this now - predictable format of taking this cooking pan, throw in a handful of characters made famous or infamous through the media, known to the public, create a handful of others to support them, saute in over medium heat, add a dash of pithy dialogues and a song to taste, and voila, the latest Bhandarkar dish was ready for public consumption.

Madhur Bhandarkar is a brilliant craftsmen, but knowingly or unknowingly, he has gradually become a prisoner of his own ideas. maybe he should even get a patent for this version of 'reality - films and resell the franchise.
The reasons for the above are many. Chandni Bar worked at various levels. As a story, though the characters had elements of familiarity in real life, the narrative was natural, and honest. As his movies progressed on the same format, of half reelity and half reality, his narrative seems to be becoming more and more contrived and stilted.

Though the concept of a story centered around a jail has been surprisingly not had any takers in Bollywood ( ok, Teen Deewarein, what else?), this time Madhur Bhandarker has gone for the ready - mix variety for his cooking, and predicatbly, the end product looks colorful, sans soul.And as for Jail, all he had to do was look around through the world classics in this genre and pick the most popular of the characters and give it a Bollywood twist.

C'mon, Mr.Bhandarkar, whom are you trying to convince with this deep, intense buddy act interplay between Parag and Nawaab - is it for those who are not familiar with Andy and Red from The Shawshank Redemption? The character sketch is so blatantly similiar that it is disgusting. And Manish mehta as Joe D'souza who runs over 6 people (aha) on a drunken driving spree.
Cardboard cutouts anyone?

The characters as evident form the released story line are too boring to be true. Maybe Madhur never realised that the themes he progressively chose, unlike his first subject, that of dance bars, were so deeply ingrained in the popular media, that events have taken on a jaded sheen in everyday affairs.

How in God's name are you going to put uniqueness in a character that's been so familiar with the public, who knows the beginning, the middle ground and the end of ever character's screen life?
Break out of your shackles, Mr.Bhandarkar.
Maybe its way too symbolic to have this project named as Jail.
Its a bit ironic and sadly funny too.

Q4) how does it feel when you are being loved and liked by so many people?

Ans: i am very indeed happy that i am loved and liked by so many people i completely appreciate those things that they like me.

Q5) are you serious with the modeling,acting stuffs and when do you get time to study from your busy schedule and are you taking some other movies offer except your two movies?

Ans:well frankly speaking am not when it goes to proffesional modeling but in acting yeah am serious sort off as if now,and about my studies yeah i do study when am on my sets or in the vanity van when i get time and even i carry some books with me or in my car as i give priority to study first and than the remaining things and about other movies except mine no ways am very much busy and panic'd with this two let it get realise first may be after that will see.

Q6) are you serious and sure you will be taking part in miss india beauty pageant in 2010/2011?

Ans: yeah am serious alot about my miss india thing but am not sure about i will be participating in 2010 or a next year of it.

Q7) if you take part in miss india are you sure you will win it as well with that any of miss universe,world,earth crown?

Ans: well i dont think i have to give any answer to this you will come to know when i will whisker it and as far as the other international pageant goes am more comfortable and i want to be miss india world and miss world and that too without whiskering it.

Q8) what will be the very first thing you will do after winning the crown?

Ans: i dont think i have to tell this now let me disclose it when i will win the international pageant by doing that first thing.

Q9) what you want to say about the former miss india,world,universe and earth contestants?

Ans: till now many woman has proved enough that they have compassion,passion and elegance to win this crowns but i think almost everyone but the only one contestant i want to talk about is aishwarya rai she has already made india proud by acting in hollywood movies and in the top magzine of the world that she is spoted on the 9th rank in the most beautiful woman on the earth,and by the zeuxis the depict legendary aishwarya rai is now spoted on the 2nd rank as most beautiful woman on the planet.

Q10) do you think even you can do what aishwarya rai has done wiith her beauty?

Ans: i think there are much unspoken words that others can understand and see i dont say much things i believe in doing it so lets see where the time and luck takes me.

Q11) is your family and friends oppose to your miss india pageant?

Ans: no not really its on me whatever i want to do as my friends say and about my family well there are up's and down's but everything will be cool later.

Q12) what you want to say about your closest friends ayesha takia and soha ali khan's work and are you in talking terms with them?

Ans: yeah i am connected with them but even ayesha is busy in her married life and her upcoming movies,so am i busy even i wasnt able to go for her wedding on 1st march as was not in mumbai because of my intercollege diva pageant in delhi and about soha even she is busy with her upcoming movies but still when ever i am free or they are free we talk and share couples of sms'es and when get time or we are in mumbai we just drop by and meet up in a cafe shop or at their residence,and yeah for sure about their work ayesha was awesome in her movie 'dor' she just played fab role in it and soha was best in 'rang de basanti' i liked them alot in those movie's.

Q13) what you want to say about last years former miss world runner up parvathy omnakuttan and about her pageant?

Ans: myself and all the other friends we all were shocked seeing paaroo 1st runner-up as she was deserving and she was best to win the miss world crown among the other top 5 contestants even paaroo gave an mind blowing answer to the judge's and the rest is history.

Q14) and what you want to say about this years miss india world pooja chopra and miss india earth shreya kishore who will represent india in miss world and miss earth?
Ans: this year i hope the best and deserving girl wins the crown and i really hope and pray that my friend pooja wins and bring the crown back and make india proud but december is not so far as the results will be out but still pooja is very talented and stunning hope she makes to the top 5 and about shreya even she is good enough to represent india in miss earth so all my wishes are with them.

Q15) what you want to say about your co-stars ranbir kapoor,neil nitin mukesh and ruslaan mumtaaz?

Ans: i dont know about ranbir much as not met him that often just met him only on the muharat of the movie and as he is in the second movie with me as the movie not started yet and about neil he is very sweet guy and very understanding and hardworking so am comfortable with him and ruslaan is opposite to him he is very kind and fun loving on the sets both are good thats it this is what i want to say about them.

Q16) how does it feel when you are compared with the most beautiful woman on earth and planet aishwarya rai bachchan by the other people and the judges?

Ans: this is the best thing ever in my life that am compared by my looks with aishwarya as am inspired by her alot the way she carry her beauty from 90's onwards and this is a great feeling for me and a best compliment ever in my life.

Q17) are you and aishwarya rai's sister very good friends?

Ans: her name is shivani and she is not her real sister she is cousin and yeah we both are very good friends from last 3 and a half years even she is very good looking like her cousin sister aishwarya.

Q18) is it true that chetan bhagat going to write a next edition on you after his 2 state's?

Ans: yeah well it is true chetan is very good author and a real book writer but i havent told him yes as i dont want any public issue so its on pending as if now.

Q19) are you going to do any ad's with lux and l'oreal or with pepsi with mahendra singh dhoni and virat kohli?

Ans: i have got an offer from lux and l'oreal with aishwarya rai,eva longoria and penelope cruz, so me and my friend shivani together going to work on it and about pepsi yeah soon am going to do an ad with dhoni and virat kohli,but am very much busy in my movies shoots so dont know about it but will surely do it when i get time.

Ans:i want to work with aishwarya,priyanka,rani and lets see who will be the other though....................

Ans: during my intercollege model hunt in mumbai by svkm trust's i was told by the judge that am "pure definition of beauty" by kevin richard and marshal andrews and "2nd jodhaa and 2nd aishwarya rai" by madhur bhandarkar and marc robin son, so it was a best compliment and phrase given to me and recently i got a praise during iim intercollege fashion show by amruta patki(miss earth 2006),chetan bhagat(famous author) and ashutosh gowariker(director) that you going to replace "ash in jodhaa akbar 2" so all together it was thrill for me by hearing this statement.

Q22) what about your prizes and gift hampers when you win the pageants what you do with it?

Ans: till the date now i have got so many prizes and gifts that is uncountable but i dont keep it with myself i give it to my friends,family,relatives and about direct entry in miss india semi finals that is to kept with me well that i cant give it to any one and about splitsvilla,teen diva,get gorgeous i am not interested in it so it gets waste.

Q23) what about the crown's,sasche and medals,trophy's cetificate so that you have it with you today where you keep it and what you do with it?

Ans: i have won so many crown's and sasche its like a sale at my place half of the crown and sasche is in my college in the princi's office i have in total about more than 90 of it so just imagine from the day when i started winning it,its being from last 7 years though and about my medals its with me and some in college and trophy's thats too in the college and with my friends with whom i have won it so i share with them and lastly my certificates i have many of it too its with me.

Q24) Are you favourite of your college staff and school as well and what about your looks in the hoarding seasons and what about other's calling you russain,spanish and italian girl?

Ans: she said in a very proudly manner yeah i am favourite of everyone in my school and college teachers,profess'rs and princi,about my seasons hoarding thats what i am its all natural though and its a real look and the people who say i look russian or am i an 'NRI' by my looks but no i would love to hear and listen myself as an indian girl and on top a 'marathi girl' and not any other country'ian female.

Q25) when are you planning to get married and any boy friend?

Ans: no plans as such and about do i have any boy friend i dont think i have to discuss it now thats too personal question !

Kangana Ranaut comes from the hill town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh. She did her schooling from Shimla.Studying as a science student in Shimla, Kangana had never thought that one day she would work in a film under a reputed banner in Bollywood. But she did harbour a dream of acting, a dream that brought her to Delhi where she learnt acting while doing theatre.Then Kangana took another step and came to Mumbai to try her luck in films. Her lucky break did not come straightaway, but after a while when Kangana had already tried unsuccessfully to make an entry into the tinsel town.It happened in September 2005, when Kangana was drinking coffee with one of her friends at a café in Mumbai. Filmmaker Anurag Basu , who had already directed a successful film, Murder , was keeping an open eye for the heroine of his next movie Gangster .It was there Basu spotted Kangana and called her for the audition. Despite the fact that Kangana is not from a filmi background and has no real acting experience, Basu decided to cast her in his film. The rest, as they say, is history.

Kangana’s weather woesKangana Ranaut’s joy of shooting songs for Samir Karnik’s ‘Roshan’ in home state Himachal Pradesh was short-lived after capricious weather played spoil sport. The unit had to return without canning the scenes and will now head for Mauritius.
“We had gone to Manali to shoot songs for Samir’s ‘Roshan’. We chose an untouched location far away in the hills. How were we to know that we’d have to return without shooting the songs?” asks Kangana.
Hailing from the Himachal, Kangana actually was pretty ecstatic at the locations chosen. “But our joy was soon gone when it began to rain. Bobby (Deol) and I were stuck in a tent in the middle of nowhere for almost a week,” Kangana said. “We’d rush out when the rain stopped. But as soon the camera was set up and we got into position we’d have to rush back into the tent,” she added.
Eventually, the unit had to comply with the meteorological moodiness. “The direc tor turned the song into a rain-oriented number. But guess what happened? The torrential rains then decided to turn into a drizzle. The rushes looked like scratches on the camera lenses. Now we’ll be shooting in Mauritius next month. Let’s hope the rain gods will be kinder there,” she complaints.

Actors lead a hectic life and Kangana Ranauat is no exception. Just recently, the young lady bought herself a double bedroom flat in Bandra and to be part of happiness, her parents came down all the way from Manali to Mumbai. But their daughter didn’t have time to spend with them. “She was busy shooting and travelling. Kangana was in Istanbul shooting for Roshan and then in Malaysia,” says a source close to the actress. The result was, her parents had to leave without getting to spend much time with her. “She had no time at all to be with them. So now Kangana after completing her schedule, has taken 15 days break to be with her parents in Manali. She will return back to the city after spending quality time with them,” the source reveals.

Taking time from her hectic schedule, Celina made a trip down to Cairo to see the dynamic metropolis, which is also the largest city in the Middle East.

Celina along with her team made a visit to the Media Production City on the outskirts of the city. It's what Film City is to Mumbai.

"They have state of the art studios with best sets which can be used for shoots. I think they are very suitable for our Indian films as the facilities including a hotel close by make it a good option," says Celina. His Excellency, The Ambassador of the Ar@b Republic said, "We want people to know that Egypt is not just about the Pyramids. We are working strategically on the tourism industry in Egpt. For its growth, we are offering easy visas, lower ticket rates, various tour packages etc. We hope to double the number of Indian tourists to Egpt by 2009. We are spending half a million U.S. Dollars in the next six months to encourage traffic between India and Egypt."

Celina also met up with few Egypti@n actors including actor Dr. Ezzat Abbou-Ouf who is the president of the Cairo International Film Festival. Celina promised them that she would be part of this year Cairo International Film Festival which will be held from November 27 th to to 7th December.

Neither an impregnable marriage vow nor a heartfelt love proposal is strong enough to keep a real-life relationship working on reel - at least it seems like that to me. Even sensational couples in reality don't seem to create much sensation at the box office when they come together.

Take Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, for instance. I think that with the entire media hype around them, they could easily pass off as the most sought-after couple, after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. But when they come together on screen, the sizzle is somehow not translated there or is done wrong. Tashan? Gosh, let's not even get there!

Ditto with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. I personally think they look cute together. However, I must admit that their combination in Bachna Ee Haseeno was not really a great idea!

Kajol definitely broke the hearts of many fans - men and women alike - when she decided to move out of the Bollywood fraternity after tying the knot with Ajay Devgan. We were all glad when she announced her return to films. But Raju Chacha was a terrible comeback. And to think that her chemistry with her own husband was pathetic! It hurts. The more recent U, Me Aur Hum was no exception either. Stolen from the very beautiful Hollywood flick, The Notebook, the Hindi version had no appeal - neither did the couple.

Akshay Kumar, in the good old days, sent temperatures rising with Ayesha Jhulka, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty, and has now accomplished the same magic with Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and so on. But with wife Twinkle Khanna, he was ice cold in movies like Zulmi and International Khiladi.

Beauty queen Aishwarya Rai looked very pretty in Kyun... Ho Gaya Na. But, her pairing with her then boyfriend Vivek Oberoi was not so pretty. It was the same case with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in Sarkar Raj, Umrao Jaan, Kuch Na Kaho and Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. With all the news around the junior Bachchans at the time of their marriage, the last thing people expected to see was a lack of onscreen chemistry between the two love birds.

Then again, there's the steaming hot John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. We have to agree that together, they create news off-screen. But, together, onscreen, they are often a tragedy. Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Madhoshi, Aetbaar - all bad!

It feels funny when I think of Kareena and Shahid Kapoor's chemistry. When they were blindly in love, in real life, they made disasters like 36 China Town and Fida. Once they broke up, Jab We Met was born. Sigh! Somebody please explain to me how this happened.

My wild guess is that for a couple to be successful onscreen, they should break up in real life. Okay, that's really evil! Let's get logical here. Irrespective of how much the couples are in love, the movie makes a difference only when it is made well. However, good chemistry is more like a cherry on the cake - while it's not particularly necessary, it is definitely preferred.

P.S. - Now if we slyly do a bit of shuffling among these couples, they work magic. Like say, Kajol with Shahrukh Khan, which is an evergreen choice, Saif with Rani Mukherji, which is cool, Akshay with Priyanka Chopra, which is hot, and John with Priyanka, which is good too. And the winner of the best-chemistry list would be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Hrithik Roshan (much to Abhishek Bachchan's annoyance)! This list can go on and on... but sadly, it has no real-life couple in it yet.
That's the sad truth. Sob!

Her first film, opposite Madhavan - Rehaana Hai Tere Dil Mein did not make a big splash. But it spelt one thing - Diya Mirza had arrived.
For a 20 year old Diya has accomplished so much but Diya's dream has only just begun.
Movie Carrer : She made her cinematic debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein opposite R. Madhavan. The film was not a box office success. A series of unsuccessful films followed, among them Tumsa Nahin Dekha and Deewaanapan.

Life has changed in the 10 months since she won the Femina Miss India-Asia Pacific Crown. She has had to make choices over what most 18-year old girls are taken for granted – parents, education and paying bills.
As a career move, the Hyderabad girl shifted to Mumbai, away from home and family. Compromises have been difficult, but necessary.
Like with her education, for one. She opted to do her First Year Bachelor of Arts via correspondence, but as the Miss Asia Pacific competition drew closer, juggling work and studies became close to impossible, specially with her modeling assignments, travelling and training.
Diya says, "I am getting first-hand knowledge about the world and about people from my travels. Of course, when I come back I will resume my formal studies. But I don’t have any regrets right now."
She adds, "My carefree days are over. I have become responsible and busy."
Especially with all the training she has had to undergo. Sabira Merchant worked with her on her diction and etiquette, physical training was with Talwalkars, diet with Anjali Mukherjee, skin care with Dr. Jamuna Pai, hair and make-up with Bharat and Doris Godambe, and clothes from Ritu Kumar and Hemant Trivedi.
Diya is all prepared to hitch her wagon to a star. She is a young woman who is caring, sensitive, beautiful and loving.

Diya Mirza won the prestigious Miss Asia Pacific title at the beauty pageant held on 2 December, 2000, in Manila. She is the second Indian contestant to be crowned Miss Asia Pacific and the first in 29 years.
Her first film, opposite Madhavan - Rehaana Hai Tere Dil Mein did not make a big splash. But it spelt one thing - Diya Mirza had arrived.
Diya Mirza also worked in a film with arjun rampal titled Deewanapan and she is extremly excited about it.

Kareena Kapoor endorse Sony’s notebook VAIO X

After promoting her size zero figure in India, Bollywood Sexy actress Kareena Kapoor has chosen to endorse Sony's newly launched half-inch thin notebook VAIO X because the product goes well with her looks - "thin and lightweight", the actress said on Tuesday (Nov 3).

"The whole size zero thing in India has more to do with people being slim and lightweight. And I am slim and lightweight. And so is this laptop. I think this new laptop is very chic and sexy and people also often associate me with these qualities," Kareena Kapoor told reporters at a press conference in New Delhi (pictured above).

As part of the tie up, the actress will be a part of the brand campaign including TV commercials and print advertising.

The 29-year-old, who is awaiting the release of her film "Kurbaan", says she feels
"privileged" to be associated with the company.

"I believe in Sony products and I am privileged that they have signed me. They believe in cutting edge technology and innovate a lot and I am glad to be their ambassador since I associate myself with quality," added Kareena, who was hoping that the company spokesperson would gift her a VAIO X laptop.

Kareena Kapoor says though she isn't very tech-savvy, she uses the Internet quite regularly.

"I use the Internet often and since I am a frequent traveller and I'm out of the country most of the time, I like to be connected through a laptop," she said.

The new Sony VAIO X is 655 grams and has an 11.1 inch screen display. The range starts from Rs.64,990 and will be available at Sony Centre stores and retail partners across India.

Katrina Kaif has become the first victim of the recent thaw between Abhishek Bachchanh-Kareena Kapoor relationship. The pretty lady who was touted as Priyanka Chopra’s replacement in upcoming Dostana sequel has now been dumped for Kareena Kapoor.

On the other hand, refuting the rumours of Katrina’s ouster from the much-anticipated venture, director Tarun Mansukhani said that he had never finalised Katrina for this one. “How could I finalise anyone until I finished the script except John and Abhishek who are an integral part of the ‘Dostana’ brand, ” he asks. About casting Kareena, the director said, “We are almost done with the script. At the moment I’m neither confirming not denying Kareena’s presence.”

Secret behind Ranbir- Deepika’s spilt

Though rumours of a break-up have been brewing for a while, it’s now clear that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have ended their relationship.

Though various theories have been floating about the cause of their break-up, here’s the real reason why the two have parted ways.

Immediate speculation will point to Ranbir’s chemistry with Katrina Kaif. It’s hasty to pin the blame on Katrina though, as Deepika had seemed insecure before the pretty actress came into the picture. And it’s not Ma Kapoor that put the spanner in the works either.

Ranbir, after all, is a hot-blooded Kapoor. He is a natural charmer as far as women go and sooner or later, Deepika would have heard about his flirtations. Apparently, Ranbir isn’t too modest about it either. Discretion about his less-than-innocent encounters would’ve been highly advisable, but he hasn’t exactly been a posterboy for it so far. Common friends carried the news to Deepika, perhaps adding a bit of tadka for flavour.

This is when Deepika decided to call it off. Apparently, she told Ranbir to mend his ways since she had given a lot to this relationship. She had cut off ties with all her ‘good friends’ like Nihar Pandya and Yuvraaj Singh. So, she wanted Ranbir to give 100 per cent to the relationship as well. She kept hearing about his ‘friendship’ with Nandita Mahtani and other girls.

At this point of time, Ranbir started feeling suffocated in his relationship with Deepika. He asked for his space and Deepika justifiably wanted to know ‘What space? Aren’t we a couple?’

The final straw was hearing about his ‘crackling chemistry’ with Katrina. The next thing she did was to land up on the sets of Rajneeti in Bhopal, where Ranbir was shooting with Katrina. She stayed there for nearly two weeks.

After she came back from Bhopal, her relationship with Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh’s son was almost over. The crack first became evident at Shabina Khan’s birthday party two weeks ago where the two sat in different corners of the room.

And what about Neetu Singh? Mamma Neetu, who is said to have a very cold relationship with Deepika, did not play catalyst. A source says, “Neetu wants Ranbir to be happy. She will never go against his choice. Ranbir always treated Deepika as a girlfriend and not as someone special, basically there was no passion in their relationship.” (TOI)
