Salman Bhaiya is up again with his benevolence, so what if he is still not over his brawls. He flew the conjoined twins Farah and Sabah down to Mumbai to fulfill their wish. The conjoined twins wanted to tie Rakhi on to Salman’s wrist. The sisters were obviously thrilled by the gesture of their favorite star. “We are lucky that our wish was fulfilled by Salman bhaiya (brother). He invited us to Mumbai, met us and we tied a rakhi on his wrist,” Saba and Farah told IANS on Saturday. “Salman bhaiya also promised us to give chance to participate in 10 Ka Dum’ (show hosted by Salman)” the twins added. “Salman is much more than a super-star. We will pray for his well-being,” said Shakeel Ahmad, father of Saba and Farah.

It is difficult to understand Salman sometimes!

After being directed by Aamir Khan, Darsheel Safary will be directed by Priyadarshan, who is remaking the Oscar-nominated Iranian film Children of Heaven. “Our sole target was to have Darsheel in the film. This is his first film after Taare Zameen Par. He has the connect and visibility among audiences. The stoDarsheel Safary-preview.jpgry needs to be told through someone who is established. Darsheel fits the bill completely,” says Shailendra. “Priyadarshan has the ability to lift ordinary stories and make them into great films. He was dying to do this one. We will make marginal changes keeping the Indian sentiments in mind. Our kind of storytelling is different, our canvas is bigger and so are our locations,” he adds. Its a story of Ali and his sister Zahra and their adventures over a lost pair of shoes. The Chicago Sun-Times critics had dubbed this movie as the perfect film for children.
Shailendra Singh, head honcho of Percept Picture Company reveals, “It’s a big deal for us. We have bought the rights of the film. We have been working on it for a year.

We are happy that we will be making an honest film that has tremendous potential in our market. We Indians love films that are emotional and traditional. Our huge middle class will have a sure shot connect with the film.”

Actor Suniel Shetty says that he’s doing fewer movies these days because he hasn’t got any exciting offers, not because he has become finicky about roles. “The truth is that since the last year or so, I haven’t got good film offers at all. Trash was coming to me in the name of scripts. I am not insecure that I would go for any role. I’m in a position now that I don’t need to compromise,” Suniel told  in an interview. The actor also talked about the nearly two-year break he took from films. “I took a sabbatical for a year and a half and that is when people in the industry realised my worth. I have some good films now, both as an actor and a producer, and I am very happy.” Suniel turned producer in 2003 with his own production banner “Popcorn Motion Pictures”. His first two productions were Khel and Rakht, which turned out to be box-office duds. He then took a much-needed break and returned with comedy film Bhagam Bhag in 2006 that turned out be a big hit. Though his latest venture with Apoorva Lakhia - Mission Istanbul - did not fare well, Suniel said that he had no plans of quitting as a producer.

“Popcorn Motion Pictures is my obsession. I started my career as a businessman with a restaurant and garment business. But Suniel Shetty - the businessman - can take over only movies and not any other venture,” said the actor who was here to launch his fashion apparel house ‘Crossover Bollywood Se’.
Suniel, who entered filmdom as an action hero with Balwaan (1992), feels that the dynamics of action in films have changed over the years. He said: “Action has risen to a different level. Today it is mostly special effects. We used to perform our stunts on our own and today the actors use all kinds of props. There lies a difference between men and boys now.” But the 47-year-old actor, known for his macho image, couldn’t stop praising the women who performed daring stunts in action reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi that was hosted by Akshay Kumar. “After watching the show, I think guys should stop talking about action and start getting inspired from women,” he remarked. Asked how he had evolved as an actor over the 16 years he’s worked in Bollywood, Suniel said: “I’ve learnt a lot. Today I understand my character. I have tried my hand at everything from action, romance to comedy. I’m the only actor to have worked with over 90 directors and different roles.”

He added: “Money comes last and self-respect comes first for me. I want to have goodwill in the industry. I’m only looking forward to people appreciating my work in the future.”His future projects as a producer include EMI, Mumbai Chaka Chak and Loot. And as an actor he would be seen in films like Paathshaala, Chai Garam, Blue, Daddy Cool, Red Alert - The War Within and International Hera Pheri.

Hawa-hawai girl Sridevi is all set to make a grand comeback in the film industry. The actress will soon be seen in a sequel to the 1987 hit, Mr. India. Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and his brother Anil Kapoor, who played the lead in Mr. India, will once again team up for this ambitious project. Manmohan Shetty too has joined hands with Boney to make the film. The characters of Seema (played by Sridevi) and Arun (played by Anil Kapoor) in Mr. India will be carried forward in the sequel. Our source said, “Sridevi will be back with the film and the script is being finalised. The film will be a sequel and not a remake of Mr. India. Anil Kapoor is very excited about the film while Boney is leaving no stone unturned to make the film bigger and better than the first part. This time, the audience will be in for a visual treat as there will be a whole lot of special effects in the film. Boney is also planning to tie up with a major SFX company. This film is the key reason why Sridevi turned down so many film offers recently. She was waiting for Mr. India’s sequel to make her comeback.”

“Mr. India was a super hit film. People still remember all the characters of the film and the very prospect of a sequel is gathering a lot of interest. Sridevi has lost oodles of weight and is looking fabulous these days. She is very excited about her comeback,” added the source. We contacted Boney Kapoor to give us some more details about the film. “We are making Mr. India 2 and things have been moving forward gradually. But I would like to announce the film only after everything is finalised,” said Boney.

Bollywood actor Govinda has left the shoot of a film in London because he got upset over the title of the film. And this is not a rumour; this comes straight from Govinda’s mouth, who says, “Yeh sab nahin chalega. Why do these title hassles happen to me only? I have been through this title-change recently (Money Hai To Honey Hai). As far as I know the film is called Showman. And as far as I am concerned there’s no other title for the film.” The title of Showman has been changed by director Tigmanshu Dhulia from Showman to King Con. Prior to this the title of Ganesh Acharya’s Money Hai To Honey was also changed without Govinda’s say so. Says Chi-Chi, “Even Ganesh Acharya loved my work and told me Money Hai To Honey Hai would revolve around me. But he did not keep his word and shot certain scenes without my knowledge. I won’t allow that to happen again. People are free to comment on my suspicious nature. But once if I see dishonesty happening behind my back, I will not remain quiet.”

Showman director Tigmanshi has admitted that Govinda is indeed upset, saying, “What can I say? Yes, Govinda has come back and we couldn’t complete the schedule. I don’t know whether he’s upset. But I believe he returned to shoot for another film. As for the title of the film, nothing has been finalised as yet.” Tigmanshu is now trying to get Govinda back to finish the shoot of the film, by giving him a serious dramatic role in the bio-pic Pan Singh Tomar that co-stars Irrfan Khan.
