Karisma Kapoor, a self-confessed foodie who is expecting her second child, confesses that she doesn`t know how to cook.”I don`t know how to cook. I just know how to eat everything, as I love food. I can only make tea, coffee and omelettes,” Karisma told reporters. The actress has a four-year-old daughter with businessman husband Sanjay Kapur and says she loves good food but she is one of those actresses who has always flaunted a svelte figure.
Asked if she was into dieting, the 35-year-old said: “I am not into exhaustive drastic dieting or anything.”The actress, who took a sabbatical from the big screen after her wedding in 2003, hopes to have a second innings in the film world in future.”I am hoping to get back to work and reach out to audiences,” she said.

After her much talked about break-up with industrialist Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta made a disappearing act from Bollywood. The dimpled actress who has taken a sabbatical from Bollywood to resume her education at Havard University is still jittery over Mumbai paparazzi! Preity recently tweeted her fears as, “I am scared to talk to a guy, forget sitting next to one. If Parag from Mumbai Mirror sees me he will write I am having an affair with him! He wrote the completely fabricated and false story about me and somebody called Vikram Chatwal and till now I have to deny it.”The actress took cudgels against the journo’s baseless story and said, “He does not need to see me to write rubbish!
Thats my point…. that’s what yellow journalism is all about!” And added, “Sorry guys, I am getting carried away! The power of the pen can make you lose perspective and write anything you feel like!”Sharing her thoughts on studies, Zinta, an English literature graduate who further pursued criminal psychology said, “Study, study, study! It’s all very new to me and I want to do well in class! Being an actress does not help, though I am loving being a normal student.”Speaking about her classmates, Zinta added, “Top CEOs, bankers, lawyers, etc.
The oldest student in class is 60 and the youngest is 21. Had a chance to meet most of the Indian and South Asian students at Harvard! Wow! Generation next rocks! They will rule the world soon.”
Although she’s undoubtedly ruling Bollywood these days, Kareena is making sure to keep herself one-up on her contemporaries, especially Ash!Well, according to the latest B-town buzz, Kareena is apparently in a competitive mood these days, and is trying her best to emerge as a better cover girl than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Grapevine has it that when Bebo got to know that Ash was signed on to grace the cover of a popular film magazine, she immediately geared up and then managed to feature on the cover of another famous magazine doing the same story about the ‘50 most beautiful people in the country’. So, is the fear of Ash the reason for Kareena being everywhere these days? Guess so!

There was a time when directors making cameos in their own films were considered to be a fad. Now the latest trend seems to be getting an actor to do a cameo in a film that has been hyped to the hilt, without even a mention about the star’s presence. The last well-kept secret cameo that Bollywood witnessed was that of Deepika Padukone in the film Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, a film which only showcased the on-screen presence of Salman, Kareena and Sohail Khan. This time round, it is the Aftab-Aamna starrer fantasy flick Aao Wish Karein, directed by Glenn Baretto.
We found out that Aftab’s chaddi-buddy Riteish Deshmukh will be seen playing a Sardar in the film. Our sources also went to the extent of furnishing us with the snap of Riteish’s look in the film. When we spoke to director Glen Baretto, unlike many directors, this man was indeed sweet enough to admit the presence of Riteish in the film. Not just that, he also went to the extent of telling that, “Riteish is not making a cameo in the film. He is actually the grown up version of the Sardar kid whom you have seen in the promos. He plays Bonny, Aftab’s best friend.
Riteish agreed to do this as a gesture of friendship towards Aftab Shivdasani.” So friends, Aao Wish Karein that friendships in Bollywood should be as real as Aftab and Riteish!

Kareena Kapoor says there is nothing “vulgar” about her backless shot being used for the publicity posters of forthcoming release “Kurbaan”, an intense thriller about terrorism. In fact, she says, it subtly reveals a lot about the story.”This shot of me in a backless posture and Saif with a wound on his chest tell so much about the film’s theme,” Kareena told IANS.”There is love, passion and violence – all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still? You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D’Silva (director), that’s the least one could have expected,” she added.Kareena said that after Geet in “Jab We Met”, her character of Avantika in “Kurbaan” will make people sit up and take notice.
“The girl’s role has a lot of edge in ‘Kurbaan’, something which starts becoming more and more visible as the film unfolds. In any case the film is not one of those cliched love stories. Every character has quite a few layers to it and Avantika, the character I play, is no exception. She is quite pivotal to ‘Kurbaan’,” she said.Kareena plays a professor in “Kurbaan” who gets married to her colleague, played by Saif Ali Khan. They move to New York after marriage, but as a series of events unfold she finds herself into a vortex of danger and intrigue. She further realises that she is a pawn in a huge game and no one could be trusted.”What made this role special is the fact that I play this young beautiful professor who is quite normal. She reacts to terrorism for the first time and life is never the same again for her,” she said.
“Actually if you ask me, then technically ‘Kurbaan’ is the story of this girl. She is the light of the screen. I am sure people will cry with Avantika… so strong is her characterisation,” the actress said. After “Jab We Met”, Kareena was seen in “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna”, “Kambakkht Ishq”, “Tashan” and “Golmaal Returns”. And except “Golmaal Returns”, none of the films did well at the box office. Kareena is delighted about the prospects of audiences seeing her in a different light after the film and says it is not a frothy romance drama.”‘Kurbaan’ has a deep-rooted love story to it, but it is not a frothy romantic film that we are time and again exposed to. The love story is much deeper here. There is a definite meaning, purpose and reason to it.
Also, the film is quite powerful in its own way since it’s the voice of moderate Islam,” she said. The film, which also stars Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri, Kirron Kher and Dia Mirza, is releasing Nov 20.
