The recent attack in Mumbai has brought to light the lapses in the Indian security system. Taking the current scenario into consideration it should not come as a surprise that Mumbai is a hot target for such activities of terror. The city is mourning the deaths of innocent lives lost. With the city in such a tense situation, it’s the forthcoming New Year’s Eve celebration that’s under threat now.

With the danger looming large and people getting wary of stepping into 5-star hotels; Indiatimes Movies talks to some of the hottest Bollywood babes who were slated to perform at various 5-star hotels across the country to ring in the New Year. Let’s find out if the plans are still on or are there any changes in the wake of the terror strike!

We tried to get in touch with the sultry Bipasha Basu and ended up getting connected to her manager who told us that her performance at Sahara Star is very much on. Apparently, this one will be the most expensive performance at Rs. 1.5 crore.

The chaiyya chaiyya girl Malaika Arora Khan tells us, “I am in the country now for New Year’s so the question of performing doesn’t arise. But if I were to perform, I wouldn’t, given the current unsafe scenario.” Malaika was slated to perform at a plush 5 star hotel in Singapore.

On the other side, Katrina Kaif’s manager tells us, “As of now, Kats is performing. There has been no communication from either side (Marriott and Katrina). Anyways, the city is in a state of mourning and we would not like to discuss this as of now.” Katrina Kaif is slated to shake a leg at J W Marriot for a whooping Rs 1 crore.

The bold babe Rakhi Sawant had two offers in her kitty, one from Dubai and another from Bangkok. But she has not yet decided which one to choose – The five star hotel do in Dubai or the cruise party in Bangkok. Sawant tell us, “The location is not yet finalized but I will be performing.” And she will be making a cool Rs 40 Lakh for her latkas jhatkas we hear.

The Lazy Lamhe girl Amisha Patel had an offer from Country Club, Mumbai for a dance performance at Rs 25 Lakh. When we asked about her plans she said, “I am in Delhi right now and will be leaving for Dubai on Tuesday. Will be back in India only on 9th so can’t say anything right now.”

When it comes to the men, Shiney Ahuja is of the opinion, “No amount of money is worth the risk. Taj was special and so were the people who died in the mishap. Personally, I’d think zillion times before agreeing to perform for any event.”

Meanwhile Akshay’s wife Twinkle has made it clear that she doesn’t want to take any risks. Apparently, she has asked husband Akshay Kumar to not perform for the New Year do at any high profiled hotel this year.
