Amitabh Bachan

Amitabh Bachan, a name that has been known for years as a legendary actor of bollywood industry. Born in the year, October 11 1942, Amitabh Bachan has become one of the most renowned and popular face of bollywood industries. His name and fame is not just restricted to the boundaries of bollywood, rather he is known by every movie lover all across the world. He was awarded as a superstar of the millennium in the year, 2000. Throughout his career this legendary actor has won several major awards including twelve Filmfare award and three National awards. He has dominated the bollywood industries by his outstanding acting performance and holds the record of maximum number of Best actor nominations. His glorious career was not just restricted to his acting talent; rather Bachan has also shown his magical performance as a play back singer, producer, television actor as well as a politician.

Born in a kayasth family, son of a great poet Harivansh Rai bachan, has completed his primary education from Allahabad and later from the Naintal`s Sherwood. He completed his graduation from delhi. He then got a job as a foreing broker in a shipping firm, but his destiny was somewhere else and so he quit the job and went for acting.

Bachan made his first debut in bollywood with the movie,”Saat Hindustani”(1969). Though the movie was commercially not a big hit, but it earned him the first National award. Again in 1970 his movie Anand achieved a big commercial hit and gave him the best supporting actor award. Bachan`s boom in bollywood industries was ignited with the release of his movie, Zanjeer(1973). After a huge success of that movie Amitabh was given the name of “Angry young man”. After that he never looked back and gave lots of big hits like Sholay, Trishul, Don, Shaan, Lawaaris, Skakti and many more. till now at the age of 75, Bachan is dominating Bollywood industries with his latest release like mohabbatein, baghban, Khakee, Ankhen, Sarkar Eklavya and many more.
